Movement Principles is where it all begins. Whether you are just starting to explore or you are ready to commit to a comprehensive training program this course is the first step. You are required to have Movement Principles before starting any course.

Our comprehensive teacher training schedule begins in August and ends in April. Students who will need to fulfill the anatomy requirement will have an option to take AI3D in late July prior to the start of Movement Principles in August.

Movement Principles should be the first course taken for all students.

Currently only select courses are available to attend online. Please refer to the course catalog for details on each individual course.
If you are taking a course online you are required to be present during the entire course, video on, and access to the equipment throughout the course.
Please note all course times are MDT.

Balanced Body is transitioning to a fully digital format of all course materials. This change is expected to be in full effect April 1, 2026.
Once you register for a course, you will receive a link with directions on how to purchase your course materials. These digital materials will live in your student portal - CLARA.

Students who wish to enroll in one of our training programs (Mat, Reformer, Comprehensive) receive a 10% discount. This discount is already reflected in the program price and does not apply to course materials. Courses purchased individually are not eligible for this discounted price.

All students are expected to attend the full duration of each course they are signed up for. In the event you are unable to attend a portion of class you are required to make up the missed time with an Educator.
Please note there is an additional $150/hr fee associated with any extra time.

Students working towards a test-out will need to complete specific observation, personal practice, and student teaching hours related to their specific program. For complete details, please refer to the course catalog.

All students begin with Movement Principles as this course lays the foundation for what the rest of the modules are based on.
The rest of our courses are numbered in the order in which they are taken (1 before 2, 2 before 3).

Many students already have met the anatomy requirement through another training. Please refer to the course catalog for a complete list of accepted anatomy programs. If your program is not listed, please reach out to us at support@connectwithpilates.com and provide documentation of the class you would like us to review including objectives, syllabus, and certificate of completion.

You are welcome to join in one of our programs if you are able to take Movement Principles from another Balanced Body Authorized Training Center.
Be advised the 10% program discount will not apply.

No. Online classes are designed to be in-person and synchronous. All online students are expected to be present, with their camera on for the entirety of the course.
Your Balanced Body course materials will give you access to pre-recorded video demonstrations of each exercise covered during the weekend for your review.

The requirements for each course may vary but in general you will need the following as an online student:
computer with a working camera
reliable internet access
ZOOM app or desktop version
Equipment related to your course. (For example, Reformer 1 and Reformer 2 require that you have access to a reformer for the entirety of the class)

All courses are taught via zoom. If you have registered for an online version and have not received a zoom link in your course welcome email, please call us at 303-993-2237 and we can help.
